Happy Spring everyone!

This season I’m looking forward to all the pre-fall collections that have entered the shops and the catwalk, the ruffle trend is definitely the one to look out for. Embracing the ‘ruffle’ is a look I have been very excited to share with you, ultimately it adds a element of softness as well as movement to your look, creating a sense of charm and fascination to your outfits! Some may agree when you think of  ruffles and frills, that your automatically drawn back to your childhood memory of being dressed up in a pretty party dress heading to a family gathering, but now ladies the return of the frills is back and can be on trend too!

I spotted this Zara ruffled shirt and had to purchase it right away, it looked soo elegant on the mannequin and screamed out class! Although the top was paired with some grey and white nautical shorts on display, I thought to myself ‘I can’t freeze in these streets, no that’s not me’… cold days and foggy mornings have not been impressing me lately, which makes me less hesitant to try some more daring ‘Spring looks’ in mind… You can never go wrong with a pair of jeans, so here I am styling this look with just that. Not just any ordinary jeans though, check out the ‘Chewed hem’ at the bottom, doesn’t it just give you life?

The brown drawstring bucket bag, breaks up the blue mid tones shown in my outfit which I just love, and is also the ideal size to fit all your essentials inside.  In regards to my jewellery I chose to keep it simple with just an oversized ring and a pair of pearl stud earrings. I am soo happy to be sporting this ruffle look for you guys as after all it is Spring!

Style tip: Keep this look simple, and don’t let the ruffles wear you!
